اما یکی از صفحات سینمایی فرضیه‌ای را مطرح کرده که احتمالا کمتر کسی به آن اندیشیده باشد. در واقع برخی شنیده‌ها حاکی از آن است که این فیلم برای مطرح شدن کانال پخش‌کننده آن پخش شده و همه این‌ها صرفا در حد یک ادعاست که برترین‌ها قادر به تایید یا رد آن نیست: “قاچاق نشده. کانال «لوتوس» متعلق به محمد امامی (سرمایه‌گذارِ شهرزاد و کاناپه و…) است. نسخه‌ی رسمی رو خود این‌ها منتشر کردن. فیلم، سوخته به حساب می‌اومد؛ نمی‌تونست اکران بشه و اگر هم می‌شد، با همه‌ی حواشی، نهایت ۳ الی ۵ میلیارد می‌فروخت.
